1750 Ocean Parkway

1750 Ocean Parkway
Brooklyn, NY 11223
Residential, Leasing/Rental, Multifamily

1750 Ocean Parkway is a 6-story, 73-unit residential rental building in Gravesend, Brooklyn on the corner with Kings Highway. The mid-rise elevator building was completed in 1959. The family of David Bistricer acquired the property in 1978. In 2010, following an undercover sting, then Attorney General Andrew Cuomo charged that the Bistricers, as well as another landlord, had turned away black apartment hunters, telling them no units were available, while welcoming applications from potential white tenants. Moric and Elsa Bistricer, parents of David, made an out-of-court settlement, agreeing to pay $40,000 in damages and provide discrimination-prevention training to their rental agents. ¾-MK
