Office, Leasing/Rental

3 Columbus Circle is a 310-foot office skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. The original building, known as the Colonnade Building, had only three stories and was constructed in 1923. Four years later, a tower designed by Shreve & Lamb architects was built on top of it. The building is part of Columbus Circle, a traffic circle featuring a Christopher Columbus monument at the southwest corner of Central Park.

In 2011, New York realty company SL Green acquired 48.9% ownership in the building from developer Joseph Moinian who was was facing foreclosure. The sale price was reported to be $500 million. Moinian had originally bought the building in 2004 for $250 million.

Current tenants at the building include Young & Rubicam, who occupy nearly 44% of the building with their 340,000-square-foot headquarters, nearly 215,000 square feet of which Young & Rubicam bought as a commercial condo. Bank of America, Chase Bank, and Gilder Gagnon Howe & Co. also hold leases at the building.
