562-564 Fifth Avenue are two adjacent buildings owned by Thor Equities, a privately held real estate firm founded in 1986 by Joseph Sitt.

Sitts Thor bought the properties from Bank Leumi in October 2013 for about $105 million. The two properties include a 12-story building at 562 Fifth Avenue that sits at the northwest corner of 46th Street, and a connected seven-story building at 564 Fifth Avenue that resembles a chalet. In total, the deal includes 120,000 square feet of office and retail space.

562 Fifth Avenue was designed by Warren & Wetmore in 1921, and 564 Fifth Avenue was designed by architect Beverly King in 1945 as Goodmans mens store and later as Finchleys Castle.

Thor Equities owns a string of properties along Fifth Avenue, including 445, 590, 597 and 693 Fifth Avenue. In July 2013, Sitt made an unsuccessful $2.1 billion bid for the Empire State Building.
