The 11-story Swiss Center, an Art Deco building dating from 1931, stands at the corner of 49th Street and Fifth Avenue. Its 44,000 square feet of retail space, spread over four floors, were rented to British retailer Topshop for an estimated $15 million a month in New Yorks second-most-expensive retail lease signed in 2014. (Microsofts $17 million deal at 677 Fifth Avenue took the top spot.)

Vornado Realty Trust took over RFR Holdings mortgage on the retail space in 2013, making an $8.5 million payment that RFR owed to a lender. Vornado also signed a ground lease for the building with the land owner, the estate of the late Sarah Korein, in December 2012. Vornados lease runs through 2026, the New York Post reported at the time.
