    7 West 34th Street

The 12-story 1901 building offers a total of 450,000 square feet between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Amazon signed a 17-year lease for the entire building in Nov. 2014. The online retail giant said at the time it planned to sublease the ground-floor retail space, contradicting earlier reports that it would open its first-ever storefront operation there. Close to Grand Central and Penn Station, the building stretches 150 feet along 34th street, running through the entire block to 35th, and features a rooftop deck and terrace.

Owner Vornado Realty Trust bought the building, formerly Orbachs Department Store, from HRPT Properties Trust for $128 million in 2000. Vornado renovated the building in 2013 to a design by Moed De Armas & Shannon.
