    31-00 47th Avenue is a massive, industrial-style office building covering an entire square block of Long Island City, Queens. Atlanta-based¾Jamestown Properties owns the five-story property which is also known as the Falchi Building, which it acquired in a 2012 off-market transaction.

    The 568,000 square-foot industrial and manufacturing building was built in 1922 and served as a warehouse for the famed department store Gimbel Brothers until it was converted to an office building in the 1980s.

    In 2013 The Real Deal reported that Jamestown, which also owns Manhattans highly-successful Chelsea Market, will bring a version of the market to the Falchi . In April, Jamestown indicated that plans were in the works to convert the building, at 31-00 47th Avenue, to a market with artisanal vendors. Since that plan surfaced Stolle, a pie maker and cafe chain, signed a 10-year-lease in 2015 for a 2,175-square-foot space, according to the Wall Street Journal. In 2014 Ride-sharing app Lyft inked a 5,000-square-foot lease at the building last fall. Some other food vendors are already located in the building. - Watchmaker Tourneau, Weill Cornell Medical College, and the United Nations are also tenants. who have office space in the building.

    Jamestown purchased the 638,712-square-foot building, which boasts nearly nearly 130,000 square foot floor plates, in an off-market transaction in 2012. -NR
