Flushing
Flushing, NY 11354

Flushing is a neighborhood in northern Queens, bounded by Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Utopia Parkway, the Long island Expressway and Willets Point Boulevard. It is less suburban and more urban than the areas that surround it, and its housing stock consists mainly of apartment buildings. Downtown Flushing's Main Street is a major shopping area. Flushing is served by the 7 train of the New York City subway system. The neighborhood has a significant Asian population. Contemporary real estate developments in Flushing include the Sky View Parc condominium. The neighborhood includes part of the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park and Citi Field, the home of Major League Baseball's Mets. Flushing Meadows was also the site of the 1964/1965 New York World's Fair and hosts the US Open tennis tournament.
