The Slave Theater is a landmark performing arts venue and civil rights activist center in western Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. After many years in a state of disuse and disrepair, Fulton Halsey Development Group bought the property for just over $2 million in 2014, with the intention of converting the upper levels to apartments. In Novemeber of 2015, Brooklyn developer Eli Hemway acquired the site as part of a three address deal for $18.5 million. The fate of theater remains uncertain.
