Time Warner Center, formerly known as the AOL Time Warner Center, is 2,800,000-square-foot mixed-use complex completed in 2003 and located at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. Twin towers over a multi-story atrium, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, contain a hotel, high-end residential condominiums, offices, restaurants, and an upscale shopping center. The $2 billion complex was the flagship development of the Related Companies, marking the developers entrance into New York City. Related partnered with AREA Property Partners on the project, which proved that a high-end, vertical shopping center could thrive in Manhattan. As of September 2015, tenants included Whole Foods, the Mandarin Oriental hotel, Michelin-starred restaurant Per Se, CNN live broadcast production studios, and a performance hall for Jazz at Lincoln Center. -GB
