Goldman Sachs to build tower near WTC site

Reversing a decision earlier this year, Goldman Sachs announced it plans to build a $2 billion headquarters across the street from the World Trade Center site. Pending approval from the state, the financial giant’s board, and the city, the new 2-million-square foot office tower would rise on West Street and could host as many as 9,000 employees. more [NYT]
