Pataki: Maybe another builder at Ground Zero

On the same day that developer Larry Silverstein announced that British architect Norman Foster would design one of the new building at Ground Zero, Gov. George Pataki suggested another builder take over two Church Street sites where Silverstein had planned more buildings. Also Thursday, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation board approved a $59 million deal to buy the 19,000-square-foot parcel next to the Deutsche Bank building. It’ll be part of a site that will include a park, an office tower, and a reconstructed Greek Orthodox church. more [NYDN]
