Planning Commission tackles Yankee Stadium

A public hearing scheduled for Wednesday evening in front of the city’s Planning Commission should ratchet up the debate around the proposed $800 million Yankee Stadium. The plan for the new stadium on parkland just north of the current stadium was rejected by the local community board last month, but recently approved, with suggestions, by Bronx borough President Adolfo Carrion.
