Brooklyn development expected to boom in `06

2006 could be a boom year for development in Brooklyn. Some of the building projects in the borough’s history are scheduled to break ground this year, including the Atlantic Yards project that includes a new arena for the New Jersey Nets; the 60-story Thor Tower in Downtown Brooklyn that will include condos and offices; and a new Ikea big-box store in Red Hook.
