Plans for Harlem theater include hotel

Harlem’s historic Victoria Theater will most likely be converted into some combination of retail and hotel, plus other uses. The Harlem Community Development Corporation has reportedly narrowed the list of potential developers for the theater on West 125th Street down to two. One wants to build a hotel with condos, a ballroom, and a B.B. King supper club. The other would construct a hotel designed by Ian Schrager, a banquet hall, and spaces for local cultural groups.
