Northeast homes fare better than other regions’

While the nation overall experienced a slump in existing home sales in December, the Northeast’s existing home sales for that month were generally flat — and still above levels recorded at the start of 2005. Homes in the Northeast also hung onto their value better than those in other regions, according to the National Association of Realtors.
