The average price per square foot for Brooklyn apartments increased each consecutive quarter from the start of 2004 through the end of 2005, according to the first-ever Brooklyn housing market report from the Real Estate Board of New York, released Tuesday. The average price per foot in the city’s most populous borough jumped 36.6 percent over those two years to $469. The average sales price for Brooklyn homes jumped 35 percent from 2004 through 2005 to $478,000, according to REBNY.
