More parkland is coming to Lower Manhattan. The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation is expected Thursday to announce the authorization of $19.5 million in spending to enhance six parks and public spaces in Lower Manhattan, including a triangular plot bounded by Canal, Varick, and Laight streets. more [NYT]
