Scaled-back condo wouldn’t block statues

A community board voted last week to scale back the condo that would have blocked the wave between the Statue of Liberty and a statue of Minerva in the Green-Wood Cemetery. Developers had wanted to build to 70 feet at 614 Seventh Avenue in Brooklyn’s Greenwood Heights, but the community board voted to limit the condo development to 50 feet — thus, likely saving the wave. more [NYDN]
