Purchase Building going to make room for park

The 1936 Purchase Building located beneath the Brooklyn end of the Brooklyn Bridge will be demolished to make room for construction of the 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Landmarks Preservation Commission approved the demolition Tuesday. more [Sun]
