Two Bronx rental buildings going co-op

Two working-class rental buildings in the Bronx are going co-op, and the residents are very much behind the move. The buildings, beside Soundview Park near the Bruckner Expressway, were built under the state’s Mitchell-Lama program to provide affordable housing for moderate-income New Yorkers, but both had fallen into such disrepair that the state had to take control of the buildings in the late 1980s. more [NYT]
