Bank of America plans to gobble up more space in the Midtown tower bearing its name. The Charlotte-based banking giant has signed a lease for 522,000 additional square feet in the Bank of America tower going up at Sixth Avenue and 42nd Street, expanding its occupancy there to 77 percent. The bank had originally planned to lease 53 percent of the 51-story tower that’s being build through a partnership of Bank of America and the Durst Organization. By Tom Acitelli
