Apartment workers could strike in April

In what would be the city’s biggest strike since the transit workers’ one in December, the union representing 28,000 doormen, elevator operators, and other apartment service workers announced today it would strike starting April 21 if building owners didn’t agree to certain changes in the union’s contract. A strike would involve workers walking off the job at more than 3,500 buildings throughout New York. more By Tom Acitelli
