Changes at rent board rattle ex-member

The annual spring hearings for the Rent Guidelines Board are about to begin. Mayor Bloomberg recently appointed two new members, attorneys Leslie Wright and Jonathan Kimmel, to replace architect Martin Zelnick and attorney Elizabeth Luskin. Zelnick, who characterized his leaving the board as “involuntary,” says the board is being used to consistently raise rents on rent-controlled apartments. more [City Limits]
