New Brooklyn plaza could become permanent

A stretch of Downtown Brooklyn could become a permanent public space free of vehicular traffic if a so-called summer experiment goes well. The new Willoughby Pedestrian Plaza, covering the western end of Willoughby Street and swinging around the corner onto Adams Street, officially debuted last week.
