Condos sprout near McCarren Park

The area around McCarren Park in northern Brooklyn is undergoing a bit of a residential renaissance. As many as four luxury condo projects, all on the same block of Bayard Street, for instance, are in various stages of completion. Housing sells in the McCarren Park area for a lot less than some other parts of Brooklyn, but rents are comparable to nearby areas like Greenpoint and Williamsburg. more [NYT]
