Spitzer emerges as development critic

Eliot Spitzer, the frontrunner in the New York governor’s race, has become a sharp obstacle to some of Mayor Bloomberg’s biggest development ambitions for the city. In July, Spitzer called for further review of the Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn. And, earlier this month, Spitzer announced his opposition to the construction plan for Moynihan Station in Midtown. more [NYT]
