Both sides react to liquor license ban

Both sides of the state’s temporary liquor license ban in the city reacted on Thursday at a public hearing. The Lower East Side Alliance, representing residents of the bar-saturated neighborhood, asked the state to make the ban permanent. A lawyer for the New York Nightlife Association, a trade group of nightclubs, called the ban “an outrageous action.” more [NYT]
