Demolition work on the extension of the No. 7 subway line farther into the West Side of Manhattan is scheduled to start in the next couple of months. Under a deal hammered out between the city and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the extension will run from Times Square to the Jacob Javits Center, which is undergoing an expansion. more [NYDN]
