MTA board to vote on rail yard deals

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s board is expected to vote today on a series of agreements in which it and the city would rezone the 13-acre rail yard on the west side of 11th Avenue, between 30th and 33rd streets, and sell it to a private developer. The city has also agreed to buy some of the development rights for the rail yard on the east side of 11th Avenue. more [NYT]
Meanwhile, Eliot Spitzer, George Pataki, the MTA, and the city are all in agreement on plans to sell the Hudson rail yards for development. more [Post]
