Park Avenue Cafe is on its way out

Owners of the Park Avenue Cafe have announced that they will close shop on January 1st. Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group Inc. said it was not able to negotiate a favorable lease for the restaurant, located on Park Avenue at 63rd Street. Smith & Wollensky also plan to sell an adjacent space, known as the Townhouse, which had been used for private functions. more [AP]
