Reckson bidders also part owners

It’s no secret that financier Carl Icahn and real estate investor Harry B. Macklowe are seeking to acquire Reckson Associates Realty Corporation via a hostile takeover. What was not known until recently is how much of the company the pair already own. Macklowe and Icahn disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that they own 8 percent of Reckson, making them the company’s largest shareholders. more [NYT]
