Hotel Pennsylvania will be razed for office tower

Vornado Realty Trust plans to construct a 2.5-million-square-foot office tower on the site of the Hotel Pennsylvania at Seventh Avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets. The hotel, which has been in business since 1919, was designed by McKim, Mead & White. Vornado is also part of the development team for the proposed Moynihan Station project nearby. more [NYDN]
