Steak chain sold, keeps NY locations

The Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group said yesterday it has agreed to be acquired by Los Angeles-based Patina Group for $79.5 million. Under the deal, Smith & Wollensky will retain its New York restaurants: Smith & Wollensky, Cit , Maloney & Porcelli, the Park Avenue Cafe, Quality Meats and the Post House.
