Citigroup says it won’t move ops

Despite comments made by the city’s budget director, Mark Page, earlier in the week, Citigroup said it has no plans to reduce its operations in New York if Gov. Spitzer’s proposal to close off certain corporate tax loopholes goes forward. “They’ve said they’re in business to make money, and if it’s more expensive to be located here, that’s obviously a major incentive to be less located here,” said Page. more [NYDN]
