500 protest Park Slope traffic change

Close to 500 people came to Methodist Hospital in Park Slope last night for a community board meeting to oppose a Department of Transportation proposal to turn Sixth and Seventh avenues into one-way streets. According to the DOT, the plan will improve safety for pedestrians. But some residents think the proposal’s goal is to eventually ease the flow of traffic through Park Slope to the Atlantic Yards. more [Gowanus Lounge]
