Report: Immigrant housing troubles

A new report issued from CUNY’s Center for Urban Research and Communities for Housing Equity shows that immigrant tenants both file fewer complaints to the city about housing conditions than non-immigrants, and that they are less likely to receive help from city agencies when they do file complaints. Housing advocates say the findings are particularly troubling since immigrants are more likely to live in neighborhoods with poor housing conditions than non-immigrants. more [Gotham Gazette]
