Salve for AY ‘community concerns’?

The Empire State Development Corporation says it will hire community liaisons to address concerns about Brooklyn’s Atlantic Yards mega-development, and that developer Forest City Ratner would hire someone to oversee construction work on the $4.2 billion project. The ESDC said it wants to “ensure that residents remain in the loop, and that community concerns receive proper attention.” Work was halted at the Prospect Heights site a week and a half ago after a building that Forest City had begun demolishing started to collapse. more [NY1]
