One of the properties that the Housing Authority is looking to sell to developers in a plan announced earlier this week is a four-and-a-half- acre parking lot nestled between East New York’s massive Boulevard and Linden housing projects. The city wants a developer to construct 165 condos and townhouses on the land that are affordable to middle-income residents. Some residents of the nearby projects, however, question how sound such an investment would be. “Anyone with common sense wouldn’t live out here,” said one resident, who identified himself only as Keeping It Real. “What makes you think people are going to want to wake up to Dodge City to the left and Vietnam to the right and the O.K.
