Family feuds over Gottlieb buildings

Relatives of the late William Gottlieb are fighting over who should manage the properties he left. His niece Cheryl Dier says the 176-year-old Northern Dispensary in the West Village has deteriorated since Gottlieb’s sister Mollie Bender inherited his estimated 185 buildings in 1999. Dier and her son Michael Corbett are fighting with her brother Neil Bender, who inherited the Gottlieb estate from their mother Mollie when she died last month. Corbett has filed a suit to take control of the estate, which include properties in the historic Gansevoort Market District and buildings linked to writers Dylan Thomas and Henry James. more [NYDN]
