After calling President Bush’s $168 billion economic-stimulus package
too weak, the National Association of Home Builders is working to
convince lawmakers to create additional measures to aid the housing
market. Members of the association, who recently met at the home
builders’ annual meeting, are heading to Capitol Hill, where they hope
to convince Congress to draw up more stimulus measures, including tax
breaks for builders and tax credits for homebuyers.
