A massive steel support that came loose caused a 22-story crane at an East Side high-rise to topple on Saturday, officials said. Four construction workers were killed, and three people are missing. Seventeen buildings around 305 East 51st Street were evacuated. The crane struck an apartment building, crushed a town house and sliced into a tenement facade. The falling crane instantly demolished a modern four-story townhouse at 305 East 51st Street, which housed a bar called Fubar on the ground floor.
