Bear Stearns’ Brooklyn office expected to remain open

The 1,500 workers at a Bears Stearns back-office at Downtown Brooklyn’s One MetroTech are expected to remain there. In 2003, Bear Stearns signed a 20-year lease for the 290,000-square-foot space, and received $4.8 million in property tax exemptions for staying put. Bear Stearns was one of the original MetroTech tenants.
