The real estate broker who managed the sale of a $65 million Southampton home says that golfer Tiger Woods is not the buyer, contrary to a report in the Post. Beate V. Moore, senior vice president of Sotheby’s International Realty in Bridgehampton, said the six-acre estate was bought by another buyer who wants to remain anonymous. Moore said Woods has never seen the property, and Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg also said Woods isn’t the buyer. Col Allan, the Post’s editor-in- chief, said the paper stands by its story. The estate, called “By the Sea,” includes a 13,200-square-foot Colonial Revival home with six bedrooms, a 7,500-square-foot guest house, a pool and spa, tennis courts, staff quarters, and 420 feet of oceanfront.
