Thieves strike at least three evacuated Turtle Bay homes

At least three homes evacuated after the March 15 crane collapse killed seven people in Turtle Bay have been burglarized. A resident at 301 East 50th Street reported losing a Sony digital camera, an iPod and a $1,300 Tag Heuer watch. Police are also investigating two burglaries at 300 East 50th Street, including a case of at least $20,000 of jewelry reported missing.
