Brooklyn apartment prices drop

Brooklyn showed a 10 percent decrease in average sales price of condos and co-ops in the first quarter, as prices dropped to $615,000 from $686,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007, according to a quarterly report from the Corcoran Group. The median price was down 7 percent over the same period to $549,000. The average sales price for a single-family townhouse in Brooklyn fell 8 percent to $1.39 million from the previous quarter, the report said.
