Robert De Niro, who co-founded the popular Nobu restaurant empire, now plans to open a Nobu Hotel in the Financial District. The building, at 45 Broad Street, will have 140 units – half condos, half hotel rooms. It’s scheduled to open in two to four years. De Niro’s son, Raphael, will market the property for Prudential Douglas Elliman. Rooms will offer minibars with green tea and sake and room service from the hotel’s Nobu restaurant. As The Real Deal first reported, Prudential Douglas Elliman’s new international marketing arm is working on the first Nobu hotel-condo, a 225-unit Nobu Hotel and Residences in Tel Aviv.
