New Coney Island plans, following the cut from a 15-acre development to
9 acres by the city a few weeks ago, show tall buildings adjoining the
reduced amusement park. The plans were posted by the blog Kinetic Carnival.
Potential tenants, a point of contention between developer Joe Sitt and
the city, include a Hard Rock Cafe, Knitting Factory AMC cinemas,
Virgin Records, ESPN Zone, Madame Tussauds, Bliss spa and tattoo
parlors.
