Connecticut real estate sales have fallen precipitously. The number of single-family home sales statewide has been nearly 25 percent lower than previous years. Median prices for homes sold in May fell 10.8 percent. “It has been sliding more and more for months now, and we’re seeing the steepest slide yet,” Connecticut Association of Realtors President Ken DelVecchio said. “The problems had been confined to the urban areas, but we’re now seeing the suburban areas being affected as well.”
