Building Brooklyn Awards given

Seventeen Brooklyn developments were honored recently by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in its eighth annual Brooklyn Building Awards at Steiner Studios Stage 6. Some of the award-winning developments include 377 Pacific Street, a 1930s brick garage that was transformed into a four-story townhouse project; a Boerum Hill development called 14 Townhouses; a warehouse at 164 Atlantic Avenue that was converted into 18 apartments with ground-floor retail; Greenbelt, a mixed-use green building in Williamsburg; J Condominium, a 33-story mixed-use tower in Dumbo; Glenmore Gardens, 10 affordable semi-detached homes in East New York; 135 Joralemon Street, a restored federal-style townhouse in Brooklyn Heights; and State Renaissance Court, a 158-unit Downtown Brooklyn development that is 50 percent affordable.
