Cushman exec buys on UES

 
Michael Burlant, a senior director at brokerage Cushman and Wakefield, bought a condo at Park Avenue Court at 120 East 87th Street and Lexington Avenue.

Burlant and his wife, Elizabeth Elting, president and CEO of TransPerfect Translations, paid $6.4 million for a combined unit with almost 3,000 square feet, according to city records.

The unit was sold by James Rhodes, an investment banker, and Melissa Barrett Rhodes, an interior design entrepreneur, writer and TV host.

Last year, poet and fiction writer Georgia Shreve bought two penthouse units at the building for $11.65 million, after selling her 1060 Fifth Avenue co-op for a then-record $46 million.

The building, once home to a Gimbel’s, was built in 1972.

Art Garfunkel of Simon and Garfunkel fame lives in the building. TRD
